Dental bonding is a process of concealing minor dental imperfections with a tooth-colored resin. This material is carefully matched to the color of your teeth for a natural-looking enhancement. Bonding can achieve many of the same effects as veneers, and Dr. Gutnichenko often recommends this more conservative treatment since it usually requires no reshaping of the tooth.
Like bonding, veneers can cover small imperfections like chips, stains, and inconsistent shaping. These thin porcelain shells require the removal of a small amount of enamel from your tooth. We will use local anesthesia to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Ceramists at our local partner lab will craft your veneers to achieve a natural, attractive appearance.
We offer both in-office and take-home teeth whitening. We typically recommend at-home whitening for enhanced comfort and convenience. You will receive custom dental trays and a peroxide-based gel, which you will use for about 30 minutes a day, usually for two weeks. The peroxide will eliminate stains on a molecular level, lightening your smile by several shades.
If excess gum tissue is making your healthy teeth look worn or underdeveloped, gum contouring can enhance your smile. During gum contouring, Dr. Gutnichenko will remove some of this excess tissue to give you a more attractive frame for your smile. She will use a surgical laser to minimize discomfort and expedite your healing. With her conservative approach, she will always remove the minimum amount of tissue necessary to meet your needs.
